Covenant Men
Discipling Men to impact generations
Discipling men to be strong enough to accept responsibility, humble enough to receive correction, wise enough to understand people, patient enough to listen, courageous enough to speak truth, loving enough to walk with sufferers, and mature enough to prepare others to flourish without controlling them.
Covenant Men is a three-year Heritage Life pathway designed to form men in biblical masculinity, redeemed character, self-government, covenant responsibility, household leadership, relational wisdom, spiritual friendship, wise care, and generational discipleship.
As a supplement to Heritage Way Discipleship, Covenant Men applies sound doctrine and a biblical worldview to the particular responsibilities God gives men in the home, church, vocation, and community. The aim is to form men who are strong enough to accept responsibility, humble enough to receive correction, wise enough to understand people, patient enough to listen, courageous enough to speak truth, loving enough to walk with those who suffer, and mature enough to help others flourish without controlling them.
Yr.1 Man Under God
Biblical Manhood, Redeemed Character, Self-Government, and Brotherhood
Before a man can faithfully lead or counsel others, he must learn to live under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Year One establishes a biblical understanding of masculinity while focusing on the character, self-government, purity, humility, and relational faithfulness required of a mature Christian man.
Participants will examine God’s design for men, learn to recognize the desires and patterns of their own hearts, pursue lasting change through the gospel, confront sexual temptation, and develop meaningful friendships with other men.
The goal is not merely to produce stronger personalities, but men whose strength is governed by Scripture, whose character is shaped by grace, and whose lives are marked by repentance, integrity, courage, and brotherly love.

Year One Progression
Biblical masculinity → Christlike virtue → self-government → freedom from enslaving desires → faithful brotherhood
Yr.2 Man In Covenant
Marriage, Communication, Reconciliation, Household Leadership, and Fatherhood
Year Two equips men to apply biblical masculinity within their closest covenant relationships. Participants will study the husband’s responsibility as covenant head, learning to exercise real authority under Christ through sacrificial love, patient understanding, wise communication, humble repentance, protection, provision, and faithful household leadership.
Special attention is given to the relational skills men need to strengthen rather than alienate their families. Men will learn to listen before reacting, speak truth without harshness, resolve conflict biblically, confess sin without excuses, and pursue reconciliation when relationships have been damaged.
The year also addresses the changing responsibilities of fatherhood. Men will learn to lead younger children with loving authority, coach teenagers toward increasing maturity and responsible freedom, and transition from direct parental government to wise relational influence as their children enter adulthood.

Year Two Progression
Covenant husbandhood → household responsibility → hospitality → biblical reconciliation → household discipleship → coaching teenagers → influencing adult children without controlling them
Yr.3 Man for Others
God-Fearing Leadership, Loving Care, Biblical Counsel, Mentoring, and Generational Faithfulness
Year Three prepares mature men to use their experience, wisdom, strength, and influence for the good of others. Participants learn to befriend younger men, listen patiently, ask wise questions, apply Scripture carefully, and walk faithfully with those who are struggling.
The year moves toward spiritual fatherhood and generational investment. Men are equipped to mentor younger men, offer appropriate biblical care, invest in children and grandchildren, and continue serving faithfully through every season of life. They also learn the limits of informal care and when a concern should be brought to pastors, elders, physicians, or qualified counselors.
The goal is to form men who do not merely live faithfully themselves, but intentionally help other men mature as Christian husbands, fathers, churchmen, workers, mentors, and disciples.

Masculine Christianity

As part of the Covenant Man discipleship pathway, Masculine Christianity explores the Bible's teaching on biblical manhood, equipping men to embrace God's design as husbands, fathers, churchmen, and faithful stewards in every sphere of life. Grounded in Scripture and the Reformed tradition, this study examines God's created order and calls men to live with courage, conviction, servant-hearted leadership, and covenant faithfulness under the lordship of Jesus Christ.
