Ministries

Heritage Covenant Church glorifies God by forming disciples through Word and Sacraments who disciple their families, love their neighbors, and build a heritage of faith for generations.

Word & Sacrament

At Heritage Covenant Church, Lord’s Day worship is central to our life together. Following the official launch of the church, we will gather each Sunday to receive the Means of Grace—God’s Word and the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Through the faithful preaching of Scripture and the administration of the sacraments, God strengthens our faith, confirms His covenant promises, and equips us for godly living.

These weekly gatherings are not merely routine. They are the lifeblood of our church, drawing us nearer to Christ and to one another as we live out our faith in community.

Sunday School

Our Adult and Children’s Ministries are devoted to passing on a deep love for the historic Christian faith. For adults, we offer in-depth studies that explore the theological foundations of the historic Reformed faith and their relevance for faithful living today. For children, our Sunday School classes engage young hearts with these same truths, helping them see how a faith rooted in the past shapes their lives now and builds a lasting heritage for the future.

Discipleship

The Heritage Way is a four-year discipleship journey that unfolds in small groups focused on spiritual formation, not just discussion. Each gathering is anchored in Scripture, shaped by rich theological reading, and oriented toward real-life application—going beyond a book club to intentional growth in Christ.

Participants grow in gospel clarity, covenant community, household leadership, church involvement, missional living, and leadership development. Each year builds intentionally on the last, fostering lasting spiritual maturity and faithful gospel impact.

Family Night

Covenant Family Night is a simple, relational gathering where we share a meal, sing together, and grow through intentional discipleship.

Children and youth receive age-appropriate teaching, while adults walk through the Heritage Way discipleship pathway—learning, discussing, and applying God’s Word together.

This is not an added program, but a core rhythm of our life as a church—where discipleship is lived out through hospitality, Scripture, and intentional relationships as a covenant community growing in Christ together.

Family Discipleship

At Heritage we believe the family and home are primary places for everyday discipleship and gospel witness. Through family worship—centered on prayer, Scripture, and faith-filled conversation—parents and caregivers help lay a foundation for lifelong spiritual growth.

As families live out their faith, they naturally extend Christ’s love to friends, neighbors, and coworkers through hospitality and everyday relationships. This does not replace the church’s role in discipleship and evangelism; rather, it complements it. Together, home and church form a vital partnership in nurturing faith and sharing the hope of Christ.

Christian Education

We are committed to supporting Christian education as a vital extension of the Church’s mission. We seek to equip the next generation through Christ-centered discipleship that integrates faith, learning, and everyday life.

Rooted in our philosophy of ministry and covenantal nurture, we come alongside families and local Christian educators—whether through homeschooling, church-supported efforts, or Christian schools. We affirm that all wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10) and that parents are called to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

Our goal is to cultivate wisdom, discernment, and Christian character, preparing children to engage the world as faithful ambassadors of Christ and to build a lasting heritage of faith.

Hospitality

Hospitality is at the heart of life at Heritage Covenant Church. Through welcoming relationships within the church and with our neighbors, evangelism flourishes, discipleship naturally unfolds, and Titus 2 mentorship takes root.

Following the call to “practice hospitality” (Romans 12:13), we encourage members to open their homes for fellowship, gospel conversation, and meaningful discipleship. Grounded in the teaching of Scripture, we seek to equip our congregation to embrace hospitality as a vital expression of faith—fostering warmth, care, and openness that reflect Christ’s love to one another and to the wider community.

Vocational Living

We believe that every believer’s daily work is a lawful calling from God and a primary context for living out the gospel. Vocational living means viewing our work and responsibilities as opportunities to serve God, reflect His character, and bear witness in the world.

We teach that work is not separate from our spiritual life but one of the primary ways we glorify Him through excellence, integrity, and humble service. Whether at home, in the marketplace, or in the community, we encourage members to bear faithful witness through diligent work and loving relationships.

Missions

We believe Christ’s command to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) is entrusted to His Church and carried out through the life of the local congregation.

We participate in evangelism, church planting, and discipleship under the spiritual oversight of our elders and in fellowship with other confessional Reformed churches.

We support missionaries who are examined, called, sent, and supervised by the church.

Through prayer, generosity, and faithful witness in daily life, every member shares in Christ’s mission as He gathers and builds His Church by His Word and Spirit.
