Who is this for?
Heritage Covenant Church is for individuals and families in North Spokane and nearby communities who are seeking a biblically grounded, historic Protestant church committed to discipleship, hospitality, and mission.
How we'll start
We’re starting with relationships—meeting people where they are and inviting shared conversation around the vision of Heritage Covenant Church as we lay the foundation for a new church in the Inland Northwest.
Our Church Planting Phases
Heritage Covenant Church is growing from the ground up through intentional phases that emphasize theological faithfulness, relational discipleship, and thoughtful preparation—forming a covenant community shaped for long-term faithfulness, regional engagement, and global mission.
Phase 1
VISION GATHERING
We begin by sharing the vision of Heritage Covenant Church through personal conversations and informal gatherings across the Spokane region. This phase focuses on relationship-building and inviting individuals and families to explore planting a gospel-centered, multi-generational church together.
Goal: Build strong relational connections and gather a core group aligned with the mission and vision.
(Fall 2025 – Spring 2026)
Phase 2
ROOTED
In this phase, we launch Year One of The Heritage Way, a discipleship pathway designed to ground participants in the biblical, theological, and missional foundations of Heritage Covenant Church. Through weekly study, Scripture reflection, and guided conversation, we grow together in faith, practice, and life together.
Goal: Form a spiritually mature, theologically aligned core community committed to Word, prayer, and covenant discipleship.
(Spring 2026)
Phase 3
FORM
With unity and trust established, we identify and commission a Core Team to help lead the church plant forward. Ministry roles are clarified in areas such as worship, hospitality, children’s discipleship, administration, and outreach, alongside shared rhythms of prayer and service.
Goal: Establish a unified, spiritually prepared leadership team with clear roles and shared covenant commitment.
(Fall 2026 – Spring 2027)
Phase 4
PREPARING
This phase focuses on practical readiness for public worship. We finalize legal and financial structures, secure a worship location, and build ministry systems for worship, hospitality, children’s discipleship, and outreach—all grounded in our commitment to the Word, the sacraments, and prayer.
Goal: Launch Heritage Covenant Church with clarity, readiness, and a strong foundation for long-term faithfulness and growth.
(Spring 2027 – Fall 2027)
