Heritage CHristian School
Christ-centered education for wisdom, discipleship, and whole-child flourishing
We are working toward a church-supported Christian school in Deer Park that brings together biblical discipleship, academic excellence, family partnership, outdoor learning, and the best insights from educational research.
Vision Statement
We envision Heritage Covenant School as a Christ-centered, church-supported learning community where students are formed in wisdom, godliness, biblical discernment, and joyful service to Christ.
Our vision is to cultivate a school that is deeply biblical, academically strong, developmentally wise, and future-focused—bringing together Christian discipleship, whole-person formation, outdoor learning, family partnership, and the best educational practices available.

mission
Our mission is to support families in the discipleship and education of their children by cultivating students who love God, think biblically, learn joyfully, live faithfully, and serve their families, churches, and communities for the glory of Christ.
Not Just a School.
A Discipleship Vision.

We believe education is not merely about academic achievement. It is about forming the whole person before God—heart, mind, body, habits, relationships, and calling.
Heritage School is being developed from the conviction that children are image-bearers, not productivity units. They need truth, beauty, worship, family, rest, play, creation, wise teachers, and meaningful work.
This is why our approach will seek to combine:
-
biblical worldview formation
-
strong academics
-
outdoor and embodied learning
-
healthy rhythms of rest and family life
-
later start rhythms for older students where possible
-
limited or carefully designed homework
-
excellent books and teachers
-
practical wisdom and real-life application

Christ-centered,
Church supported
Heritage Covenant School is a Christ-centered, church-supported Christian school, extending Heritage Covenant Church’s mission by equipping the next generation through Christ-centered, Reformed education that integrates faith, learning, and discipleship. Rather than following a classical model, our approach prioritizes biblical discipleship, covenantal faithfulness, and real-life application, ensuring that students are formed by God’s wisdom rather than human philosophy (Colossians 2:8).
As a ministry of the church, it is our vision to provide structure, accountability, and resources to support parents as the primary educators, fostering a family-integrated, biblically grounded education that raises children in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). With an emphasis on godly character, a biblical worldview, and practical wisdom, we prepare students to serve Christ faithfully in their homes, churches, and communities. Our goal is to build a heritage of faith—rooted in the past, shaping the future for God’s glory.
Our Philosophy of Education
At Heritage Covenant School, we believe that education is first and foremost a discipleship process, preparing students for life and eternity through faithful instruction in God’s Word and the pursuit of wisdom in all areas of life. Rooted in biblical discipleship, our educational philosophy is built on four key pillars:
1. Family Discipleship
Education is an extension of the biblical mandate for parents to disciple their children (Deut. 6:6-7). We believe that fathers and mothers are the primary educators, and our school exists to support families in this high calling. Our approach prioritizes whole-person formation—mind, heart, spirit, and body—using Scripture as the foundation for learning. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in their children’s education, ensuring that instruction is grounded in biblical truth and real-life application.
2. Biblical Worldview
Every subject is taught through the lens of God’s truth, equipping students to interpret the world through Scripture rather than secular philosophies. We emphasize:
-
The fear of the Lord as the foundation of all knowledge (Prov. 1:7).
-
Christ’s preeminence in every discipline—history, literature, science, and beyond (Col. 1:18).
-
Training students to discern truth from falsehood and defend the faith with confidence (2 Cor. 10:4-6).
By rooting all learning in a biblical worldview, we prepare students to stand firm in their faith, engage the culture with wisdom, and live for the glory of God.
3. Best Teachers, Best Books
Students should be equipped with the wisdom of those who have gone before them. Rather than relying on modern secular trends, we prioritize instruction from godly mentors and biblically faithful scholars. Our curriculum draws from Christian thinkers, theologians, and writers who have stood the test of time, ensuring that students are shaped by truth, not cultural fads. We seek out teachers and materials that are both God-honoring and academically excellent, so students receive the best instruction that aligns with biblical faithfulness.
4. Worship and Life Application
Education is not just about acquiring knowledge—it is about living for the glory of God. Learning should cultivate a life of worship, where students see God’s hand in every subject and apply their studies in service to Christ. Whether studying history, solving math problems, or developing practical skills, students are encouraged to:
-
Praise God in their studies and recognize His wisdom in creation.
-
Seek His help in their learning process through prayer and reliance on Him.
-
Apply their education to real-life service, using their knowledge and skills to love God and love their neighbor.
At Heritage Covenant School, education is not about checking academic boxes but about faithful discipleship—raising up wise, courageous, and godly young men and women who will live their lives in service to Jesus Christ. We trust that as we follow this biblical model of education, God will provide the results, shaping students for His purposes in their families, churches, and communities.
